Subtitled: You had your say in the last election, now sit down and shut up until it’s your turn again
I’ve mentioned on numerous previous occasions that the old “if you don’t vote you can’t complain” line is a weak position taken to either try to get people to participate and/or to shut people like me up and/or to try and marginalize our positions. The fact of the matter is that if you do vote you have voluntarily participated in a system of choosing a government that, by extension, you agree to abide by the decisions of - in for a penny, in for a pound as they say….. and that’s the very position the Bush administration takes.
