Dear Mr. Millington

You did this damage all by yourself

The Mountie who repeatedly deployed his Taser on Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver International Airport two years ago has filed a libel lawsuit against the CBC.

Constable Kwesi Millington claims that CBC’s coverage of the incident since Nov. 4, 2007, has caused him to suffer “serious embarrassment and distress” and has subjected him to “public ridicule.”

With luck some good will come of this whole mess and others of the fraternity won’t be quite so quick to pull the trigger, time, and time, and time, and time, and time (yup, that’s five) again.

I notice he isn’t suing the RCMP for hiring him in the first place. And suing Taser International can get your mom’s knees broken. So yeah – I wonder when the other three ridiculous embarassments will join him in some sort of class action.

Interesting thought…. Millington may have a better chance of suing Taser International over bogus it’s safe and harmless propaganda than the CBC for rebroadcasting his quick trigger finger.

You’d think he’d be happy to be alive to experience things like embarassment – and that he’d appreciate he’s not experiencing incarceration for murder.
