Political Correctness Rule #172
If this article at Rabble about this article in the Toronto Star that was further blogged about here is correct then I believe it can be safely said that someone is trying to shut someone up about discussing activities designed to shut people up.
Kathy English, the Star’s public editor, agreed to publish an apologetic column on Saturday. She wrote that Zerbisias’ comments “fell short of the Star’s standards of fairness, accuracy and civility,” and promised to rein in journalists who “put the Star in a negative light.”
… and, unfortunately, to some degree, apparently succeeding.
The new addition to the political correctness rule, that applies to some of us anyway, is becoming more entrenched every day – it’s a bit confusing, but here it is:
Political Correctness rule #172*: Depending upon who you are, and what your position is, on the activities of a certain government, and/or group of lobby groups, you may not criticize those who criticize you for what you criticize them for without fear of consequence.
Does anyone else find it sad pathetic funny odd confusing that the political group that generally rails against “political correctness” are the staunchest supporters of this political correctness rule?
* Rule renumbering pending. This rule has been nominated as a candidate for renumbering as a higher prime number on the list of currently fashionable Political Correctness Rules.

Right ON!
Not to add to the irony, but I think she should sue him.
I think she should retain a Jewish lawyer, THEN sue him.
