I am currently reading a book on past life regression experiences and therapy, and I am finding it extremely interesting.
One of the things the author notes is that the majority of people he has spoken to have had what are described as “paranormal experiences” – you know, encounters with ghosts/spirits, near death experiences, precognitive dreams or feelings, deja vu, etc…. but rarely talk about them for fear of being labeled as a nut case or a loonie.

Heading out for a weekend with some brand new wrecks. Well, not “new” wrecks – but new to me. The City of Sheboygan, the Annie Falconer, the Manola and the Olive Branch.
Good thing too. I’m getting very grumpy, I’ve noticed. My tolerance for stupid is at a really low ebb. Hopefully I’m a cheerier [...]

Somehow I can’t help but think that Peter Van Loan has a cultural agenda involved in his current “tougher penalties for honour killings” gig – what does saying that honour killings are a crime that “Canadian society cannot accept” mean anyway?
Are we actually contemplating a society where some reasons for premeditated murder are somehow less acceptable than others, and therefore deserve harsher penalties?

It takes a special kind of person to rely on Canada’s Health Care while trashing it for an American audience. Gosh, what’s the word I’m groping for….

It is possible that Obama’s parents launched a conspiracy decades ago that has deceived state and hospital officials and media and voters and the Democratic party for decades. It is also possible that the remains of an alien reside in a Roswell hanger, that angels appeared in the sky to the troops at Mons, and that Elvis is slinging burgers in Dubuque, Iowa. But probably not.

If you call the faithful to form a prayer circle around the bed of your gravely ill 11 year old daughter instead of calling a doctor – you may be a Christian fanatic.

Once again there is a round of discussion about how the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) should reform the way they elect their National Chief – it’s a good discussion to have inside the realm of First Nations, but why are outsiders so concerned?

A Manitoba native leader vying to replace Phil Fontaine as head of the Assembly of First Nations has suggested Canada’s three northern territories consider separating.
In yet another chapter of controversy for Terry Nelson, he says if elected he is ready to “open dialogue” with the U.S. on whether Nunavut, Yukon and the Northwest Territories “could possibly separate from Canada and become part of the United States.”

That’s the good news. The bad news – it’s not hidden because they’ve simply implemented it.

…. you have garbage and stench there now because you are not rich enough, not white/anglo enough, don’t vote enough, don’t contribute enough to the right election campaigns and are otherwise not a threat for reasons that have nothing to do with whether your “site is suitable”.
