Famous Farewells II

Everybody likes a quiz, right? So instead of just saying “au revoir” before I take off, let’s have some fun.

With whom do you identify the following Famous Farewells?

1) I’m running down that long, lonesome road, babe – where I’m bound, I can’t tell.

2) And that is how I remember them, my mother and my sister. Good-bye.

3) I do wish we could chat longer, but I’m having an old friend for dinner. Bye.

4) You be good. See you tomorrow. I love you.

5) I’m signing off for the next three weeks. In a couple of hours I fly to Toronto, then San Francisco, then Honolulu, then Guam, then Yap – then Chuuk Lagoon to shoot our new underwater epic. Be good, be wise, be kind, and I’ll miss yez all.

6) Dammit. I should never have switched from Scotch to Martinis.

7) Drink to me!

8) Louis, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

9) I am just going outside and may be some time.

And the speakers –

a) Pablo Picasso
b) Captain Lawrence “Titus” Oates, Scott Antarctic Expedition
c) balbulican
d) Humphrey Bogart
e) Tennessee Williams
f) Alexander the Grey Parrot
g) Rick, proprietor of Rick’s Café Americain
h) Robert Allen Zimmerman
i) Hannibal Lecter

Have fun. See you in June.

    So that leaves me with 4 and 6. I’m gonna guess: 4 – f and 6 – d.

Why is Hannibal Lecter there twice? Did he also speak Rick’s words?

What Skdadl said – although I’m rather sorry the parrot isn’t shooting the underwater epic.
