Jason Kenny Sure Is An Amusing Dolt

Given the day and age that we live in Jason Kenny’s confirmation of the barring of British MP George Galloway from Canadian soil is the best of possible ways to ensure his message gets out — and Kenny is so slow on the pick up that he doesn’t even know he’s given Galloway a huge credibility boost.

Prior to Galloway being refused entry to Canada how many Canadians knew he was coming here as part of his speaking tour? I like to (at least) think I keep up on what’s happening in the Canadian political arena (whether I post about it or not) and I didn’t know he was coming.

How many Canadians had essentially forgotten that George Galloway existed? And that he had some very controversial views on the Iraq war? And that his claims called into serious question the honesty of the British government? And the legality of the war?

Now (many thanks to Jason Kenny) his name, statements, claims, and views, are once again being splashed all over the dead tree media and the blogosphere.

Now (many thanks to Jason Kenny) thousands of Canadians who were 12 years old and more concerned with their BMX bikes than politics at the time of the invasion are sitting in front of their computers scratching their heads and wondering just exactly what it is that George Galloway is saying that the Canadian government doesn’t want heard — and they are going looking.

Now (many thanks to Jason Kenny) interest in all things George Galloway is at a high level, and if the court challenge Galloway has said he is going to launch proceeds that interest is only going to grow – and Jason Kenny, the Conservative Party, and the government of Canada, are going to look pretty darned foolish if they (as my bet will be placed) lose.

Unless George Galloway is as ignorant of the way information flows in this day and age as Jason Kenny obviously is he will take advantage of that and start getting his message out to the Canadian masses on every social networking system available… and they are legion.

If I were part of his campaign I’d be generating lots (and lots) of 10 minute video segments suited specifically for YouTube, and, as part of the US swing, making sure that I hit as many US current events and talk shows that are commonly watched north of the border as is possible — because Kenny has certainly ensured that there’s a Canadian audience for his discussions.

I remember Galloway voicing oposition to the Iraq war back in 2003, of course back in 2003 that meant you terrorist supporter, a terrorist. Then he took releaf supplies to the people of Palistien, which of course elected Hamas as their government, therefore it aiding terrorist by default. Then is you say one bad thing about Israel, you’re a jew hater now.

Has Gaaloway been convict of a crime? Not to my knowledge.

Has George Bush been convicted of a crime,… yup. Also he is suspected of war crimes, which according to our laws means Bush should have denied entry into Canada, or arrested once he was on Canadian soil.

Bush has at least validate strikes against him and our governments does nothing, and the Liberals would have done nothing differently (most likely)

Seems to me that our laws are very subjective, and Galloway is going to rub our noses in our smelly crap, the rightwingers will wail about how Galloway has no rights iin Canada and should just fuck off. If the media plays the objective observer here, Harper’s CPC is going to look very stoopid.

More ironically, Jason Kenney makes George Galloway appear reasonable.

  3. Zorpheous on March 22nd, 2009 at 3:25 pm

woah woah woah, now lets not get carried away there, it is hard to tell who is reasonable, Galloway is a loonie-toonie git fer sure

And Galloway strikes me as so blindingly sexist that he doesn’t even SEE women. Kenney just, I dunno, tries to imagine us as men, I guess. For a long time, I thought Jason Kenney was Rob Anders and vice versa. I’ve got them separated now, but it’s surprising how little it matters.

Galloway was barred by beurocrats from the immigration department. Not Kenny. Who is still a douchebag.

  6. Zorpheous on March 22nd, 2009 at 4:10 pm

don’t buy that one Nasty, we are talking about a Government Official from one of our Allies, Galloway’s rejection may have been rejected from below, but in end it would cross buttmuncher’s desk for a final ok.

@nastyboy: Yeah right nastyboy, some low level pencil pusher banned a sitting British MP from the country without asking anyone at all on a higher rung if it was OK to do so — it’s good to see you’ve got a sense of humour.

  8. sooey on March 22nd, 2009 at 5:51 pm

Only a political directive from the Minister would have led to Galloway being banned from entry to Canada.

Have you been meaning to lay that big prayer on our Lord Jesus Christ for a while now, but you just haven’t found the right time? Take the time right now. He knows what is on your heart, and He is waiting for your words, your time, your trust, your p….

I guess this is an opportune time to post a link to this.

I hope he does this on Fox.

I have to agree with you on this. When are we going to learn that if do not want someone getting attention, stop giving it to them! Ugh. Thanks for the update. Have a nice day.

PS. As much as do not like him, I would not have censored him or kept him out of the country. Fair is fair. I was in an uproar over the treatment Britan gave Geert when he came to speak BY Invitation. I may not like anything Galloway has to say, but he should have the right to say it anyway. It doesn’t just go away. He isn’t going to stop thinking as he does. So why treat him so poorly? And I really do NOT like this guy! I just don’t understand people sometimes…

I must have missed something. How is Galloway actually offensive on the subject of the Middle East?

Mr. Kenney is getting a first hand lesson in the truths Milton wrote in almost Areopagitica 400 years ago. You’d think he would have just read the book.

Good to see the Speech Warriors racing to his defense, what with all that government interference in free speech and free expression of unpopular ideas…

    Right?

    Right?
