And Just Who Will Do That Investigation?
Nice idea Ki-Moon, but who do you think can do such a thing?
The secretary general of the United Nations has called for a full investigation into Israel’s shelling of three of its buildings in the Gaza Strip during its three-week long assault against Hamas.
Will Israel do the investigation?
- Good luck with that.
Will the UN do the investigation?
- Good luck with that.
Will the Security Council do the investigation?
- Good luck with that.
Face it, between Israeli propaganda, previous UNGA stupidity concerning Israel, and Americas reputation at the UNSC table regarding all things Israel, there is no country or body that will do any investigation, or release any findings, that will have any international credibility – they have all been poisoned.
We know who the winner is, guess who the losers are —– again.

Hey, didn’t -we- used to have the necessary credibility?
Used to, being the operative term.
Maybe the Swedes would be interested…
Well, I know a great little consulting firm on Gladstone Avenue…

@rumor –
Yes, Canada was once cowardly enough that we would indeed try to act as “neutral brokers” in the region, in the vain hope that everyone would like continue to like us. We were self-righteous enough to refuse to condemn outright terrorism…making half-hearted attempts to avoid any mention of suicide bombings and rockets filled with ball-bearings fired into civilian areas with the intent of killing or maiming as many innocent non-combatants (read: women and children) as possible. A cynical man might blame the Liberal Party for this despicable lack of moral integrity, saying that they were only going after all those Muslim votes in the GTA (which far outnumber the Jewish ones)…I don’t know. All I know is that I am finally PROUD of my country again for having the courage to finally take a stand. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out which side is committed to annihilating the other (gee, they even put it in writing…right in their Charter), and which is committing war crimes (real ones, not the imaginary ones dreamed up by the radical left) on a daily basis. Even better is watching the new Liberal leader come to the same conclusion; where are all you Jew-haters going to go now…to the NDP? Enjoy…
You know, I used to enjoy the occasional incursion by stupid folks spouting drive-by party-line drivel. It had a certain childish, simple charm. But now it just bores me. Dear Anne, am I growing old?
Whooee!
where are all you Jew-haters going to go now…to the NDP?
Fred sez: Israel=Jews.
Fred sez: Criticism of Israeli government policy =Jew-hating.
JimBobby sez: Fred’s a dumbass. If Fred were to make the slightest attempt to read the Israeli domestic press, he’d see that many Israelis Jews are critical of the Israeli government. They ain’t Jew-haters. They’re Jews.
The Israeli gummint fosters the idea that Israel=Jews. Then, whenever anyone, anywhere, criticizes the gummint, they pull out the anti-Semitism card. Tedious and transparent.
White phosphorus is a chemical weapon designed to kill or injure over a wide swath. When it is deployed in heavily populated civilian areas, regardless of whether there are bad guys hiding there, it will kill and injure innocent civilians. The Israelis have not done much to disguise their collective punishment campaign. They call it deterrence. It translates to: “You think you’re terrorists? We’ll show you terror.”
JB
There’s two kinds of people who make the “Criticize Israel = Kristallnacht” argument, JimBobby: propagandists who know exactly what they’re doing, and fools unclear on either concept. There’s no point trying to correct either of them.
Having read a few of your laughably arrogant posts (why is it always the stupidest people acting the haughtiest, I wonder?) I can see how childish and simple would appeal to you, sure. But don’t worry…we enjoy our drive-by Liberal trolls over on the BT blogs just as much as you enjoy this….
“I can see how childish and simple would appeal to you, sure.”
Absolutely. You’re very welcome here.
