The Tale Of Mike Duffy (Live)

Once upon a time, in a far off land,
(well, it was actually Ottawa),
there was a journalist named Mike Duffy,
And the people of the land would tune in to his show,
(Mike Duffy Live),
to see, when Parliament sat,
what was happening on “The Hill”.
And then one day,
something happened, we don’t know what, but
Mike Duffy quit being a journalist.

And only the Conservatives watched.

The End

Seriously, I just watched Mike Duffy (Live) and he’s gone from being a parliamentary journalist to a Conservative mouth piece.

They’re forming a separatist coalition? Come on, what happened to reporting on what was happening anyway?

When I want Canadian Conservative spin I’ll listen to Lowell Green.

What I saw tonight watching his coverage of the Liberal/NDP/Bloc coalition was a polite Sean Hannity, nothing more….. it’s either that, or Canada is in fact speaking with one voice against the forming of a coalition government – and quite frankly I just ain’t seeing that.

Never really liked him to begin with.

    I usually watch CBC Pravda.

Mike’s been like that for some time now. It just may have gotten worse in the past few days.

Mike’s still mad about the Order of Canada thing.

It was stunning to watch today though wasn’t it? Pretty lame.

Mike’s been a television version of Lowell Green since he came back from his heart surgery a while back. Not sure what happened, but he has been getting progressively worse, especially in the last few days.

It’s kind of sad, he went from being a well respected political journalist to an angry, partisan, bottom-feeder. And yeah, Conservatives, and the unfortunate others like me that are paid to review his shows are definitely the only regulars.

Speaking of CFRA, I’m out in Alberta for work for the week and had the distinct pleasure of hearing the Edmonton equivalent of CFRA spew the same kind of ignorant lies and conjecture that I’m more used to from the likes of Mr. Green. It’s good to know that some common threads hold this country of ours together :)

Duffy left CBC because he found more freedom at CTV to inject his own opinions into his reporting. Because he’s Duffy, he gets away with it there while he would have been fired for doing so at the CBC. I think his reports stink, and he is little more than the CPoC unofficial mouthpiece.
