Because That Sort Of Ignorance –

doesn’t deserve one.

Because I haven’t pissed off the Injuns in a while

And an idle Monday afternoon is as good a time as any.

During a conversation with a friend over the weekend, he said: So, if the price of gasoline is back down, can we cut the handouts we give to the reservations accordingly?

No comments – but you could add one!

Gee, no comments ‘eh? How, given that the technology allowing us to take an actual physical crap on a remote keyboard does not yet exist, does one appropriately address such ignorance anyway?

I suppose it’s always possible that this is a result of not enough people giving her the handout she was looking for a few days ago – but a quick look through the “Injuns archive” dispelled that notion pretty quick.

Me thinks, and this is just me thinking out loud you understand, that maybe Right Girl should take a little bit of adage advice before her next little “this post really has no substance but I’m lonely, angry, and desperate for some attention and I thought this might work” rant.

Dear Right Girl,

People who live in glass houses really shouldn’t throw stones.

Yup, that’s me, p*ssing people off since 2004. And not that they tend to hang out here much, but can I just say my readers kick ass? Love ‘em.

As for the “handouts” I receive, they are given of free will, not extorted at the point of a gun, like the Injuns in Canada or the stupid government bailouts down here. Free will! What a concept!

Ok, catch ya from Denver. Have a good one.

Right Girl seems to be mistaken about who negotiated the Treaties at the end of a gun barrel.

RG, your readers may “kick ass” because Stageleft clearly does, but the same can’t be said about yourself. You’re at least half of “kick ass” though.

Jesus Christ, Stage. Here I am trying to give up this shit, and you drag it back on home and dump it on the table.

Look. In the real world, Wendy is a homeless, unemployed kid with a messed up life and some serious issues, reduced to begging online so she can buy the antidepressants she needs to function. She throws out hot button lines when she gets particularly desperate; that’s all. There’s nothing there. Think hard: have you ever, ever read a single original thought on her site? Ever?

But in this weird little neocon bubble world they’ve created to validate themselves, she’s a minor princess. Those little shreds of identity (I do a BLOG RADIO show! Mark Steyn once spoke to me!) help her hold it together between those episodes where she hallucinates Somalis chopping up Monte Solberg; and as James B. noted, the rage she generates (quite deliberately) delights her, and more importantly, defines her.

So be it. But let’s not be complicit anymore.

I disagree, Bal. I think we need to keep goading these crackheads into cranking out even more absurd lunacy until their ravings become so detached from reality that nobody will pay any attention to them.

“…until their ravings become so detached from reality…”

    Umm…what do you mean, “until”?

Right Girl is mistaken about a whole lot of things SaskBoy – it is, IMO, a perfect example willful ignorance coupled with a need for attention.

Now, now, b …. take it easy …. have you had your meds today? Maybe we could ask online if people would be willing help you top them up ;-)

Got to love the internets, where the even the most emotionally damaged and intellectually stunted get to have their own blog. I love me some freedom!

While most rational people already see that many rightwing pundits like Right Girl are divorced from reality many conservatives do not. Then there is the matter of rightwing pundits like Raphael and Ghost of a Flea, who until just recently were considered rational by many leftwingers when in fact they’ve always been raving nutcases.

Unfortunately the bar for tolerating rightwing idiocy is set pretty high and the only way it can be dealt with is to help push the rightwing pundits over the top and make sure that everyone witnesses them clearing the bar. This is exactly what Media Matters has done with US rightwing pundits and this strategy is beginning to bear fruit.

Wow, that’s really sad, a homeless emotionally damaged girl whose latest marriage has broken up and is in need of medication thinks riffing on Kathy Shaidle is the answer to her problems?

    Very sad indeed.

I’m with you Balb, lets not indulge her. Maybe then she’ll actually seek the help she so desperately and obviously needs.

Dude. I’m, like, standing right here. Sheesh.

@Raphael Alexander – Let it never be said that we talk about you behind your back :-)

Ah, what the hell. I’ll weigh in. There’s a fine line between legitimate criticism and “fair comment” and race-baiting. Had RG crafted something a little more thoughtful involving specific criticisms of aboriginal funding it would be different. But she posted a flippant comment, and worse yet she did it to invite pissing off the “injuns”. I’ve posted flippant comments before, but when the shit hits the fan it’s usually unintentional. RG and Kathy Shaidle go looking for fights. That’s what makes them heavy-weight raving nutcases, and me just a little bit deranged. I’ll bet there’s even a perfectly good medication for me.
