In the wake of Joe-The-Not-Plumber’s Warholian fifteen minutes of surreal political fame, Republican strategists have combed the suburbs, condos and trailer parks of America for more typical, plain-spoken, and absolutely spontaneous, authentic Americans willing to step forward and challenge the uppity Democratic candidate. These four finalists are shown leaving auditions in Bangor, Maine.

    LOL. I wonder whether after the debacle some Republican will have the guts to pen an article asking how their image of the “ordinary American” went from from a sober, pious, law-abiding family man to a bald hulk who looked like a beer-chugging champ that would beat the crap out of anybody who didn’t do exactly what he wanted.
