You’ve Come A Long Way Mr. Layton

I watched an NDP event that was held in Ajax on CPAC last night and I gotta tell ya, Jack Layton gave answers to questions that were every bit as rhetoric filled, unsubstantive, and evasive, as any that either Harper or Dion usually provide – he has truly hit the big time.

Come on guy…look at the entire package not just one element. If you base your vote only on how the leader answers questions at one event and don’t look at what the policy track record and the platform of the party and the caliber of the candidate in your riding than you are doing yourself and democracy a disservice.

I have been in the audience when Jack has done a townhall and I found him to be very genuine, thoughtful and excited about the kind of Canada that we can have if we just get past the tired old patterns of the past and we actually vote for change. I am so tired of people voting out of fear.

I like that democracy word — it seems to get slipped into a lot of conversations these days even when it has nothing to do with what is being discussed.

That aside, we do not live in a real democracy, we live in a sort of a representative democracy that has been screwed up by the political parties, you should either inform yourself, or choose your words better.

To address your comments, how many times do I have to see him providing rhetoric filled, unsubstantive, evasive answers before I get to form an opinion?
