While I was up the Bonnechere over the week-end a few oif the riding club I’m with decided to tour the Bonnechere Caves, since they are only 45 minutes or so from where I was staying I scooted over to meet up with them Saturday afternoon - here’s some pictures.
Everybody showed up around noon, this isn’t the entire group… the parking lot wasn’t quite wide enough to hold us all.

– and we had a BBQ and hung around for a bit and waited for a tour guide.

This is one of the entrances to the caves, it was not only a bit of a climb to get to, but it looked a bit wet.

So we wimped out and went to the main entrance

Underground (they said we were 90′ or so down) are a bunch of tunnels cutting through the hill.

It was the first time I’ve ever been (a) that far underground, (b) in a cave - if you’re in the area the Bonnechere Caves are definitely worth the $13 price of admission.
