Senator Larry Campbell has come up with the Canadian Football Act that, if passed, will ban foreign teams from playing league games in Canada - but Campbell forgot a very important “whereas”.
AND WHEREAS National Football League games, primarily as a result of:
* their tiny playing field,
* the additional “down” their teams need; and
* game extending rules than make the last two minutes of play last for an hour,
Can easily be considered cruel and unusual punishment to the real football fan who accidentally tunes into an NFL game.
Now Therefore be it resolved that, in the interests of national sanity, the National Football League be banned in Canada.
Now and forever.
Seriously…. have you ever watched one of their games? For all the entertainment value they hold you might as well watch an international Cricket match.

Hear hear!
I’m no huge fan of football, but my limited experience makes me agree. The CFL plays a much better game. Too bad the Rough Riders/Renegades had to flop, I enjoyed the few games I went to. And the prices!
