Open Trackbacks & Comments Sunday

The “While We’re At It, Let’s Redefine Something Else” edition.

Send a trackback, leave a comment, and ponder the wonders of not only redefining anti-Semitism, but redefining other words and phrases related to it as well.

As we noted in an earlier post governments both north and south of the border have redefined anti-Semitism, the usual suspects agree with this of course, but some (who are not alone btw), apparently not happy with leaving it there have redefined blood libel as well.

That aside you do have to love Robert’s logic

  1. Criticizing Israel is NOT, per se, antisemitic.
  2. Here are some people who criticize Israel.
  3. Therefore they are anti-Semites.

As we have said so many times before, the “criticism of Israel is anti-Semitism” crowd are only hurting themselves, and their cause, with this tactic – redefined and watered down so as to mean so much less than what it really is I have no doubt that if this continues anti-Semitism will soon mean nothing significant at all…. and then what will they do?

Me and the pony have been out running the roads, the winter was long and I got a lot of lost time to make up for.
