If the pill kills, so does masturbation.
Oh, dear. How many life sentences do you suppose Canadian Sentinel is going to get?
That’s a whole ‘nuther type of sin balbulican…. or maybe a combination sin….. do we have combination sins yet?
“If the pill kills, so does masturbation.”
What they’re complaining about is the failsafe mechanism of the Pill. For 99% of cases, the pill prevents the release of the egg from the ovary. No egg, no conception, no life to end. And that’s why it seems that anti-abortionists who target the pill as well seem a little crazy.
But if an egg is released, and is fertilized by sperm, and conception takes place, the pill also works by preventing the fertilized egg from attaching to the uterine wall, and that’s where the argument comes that the pill kills babies.
In less than 1% of the cases.
And only if you believe in your heart of hearts that life begins right at conception.
It is a fanatical viewpoint that completely eschews compromise or debate. But then, those who believe fervently that there is a life there and that it should be protected, would suggest that no compromise is acceptable if it ends a life.
“What they’re complaining about is is the failsafe mechanism of the Pill.”
What they are complaining about is women being free to have sex without consequences.
If you read their propaganda, it’s clear they don’t have a clue about the technical aspects of what you’re explaining. They simply cannot abide women’s freedom.
When it comes to these fanatics, don’t look to science or biology for explanations.
Except James, even that ‘logic’ is confused, since they’d have to believe that “conception” happens when an embryo is formed, not when it’s implanted. I would define conception as the implantation of a viable embryo, into the uterine lining. Otherwise we could have “conception” in vitro (test tube) and they are completely not viable at that stage.
One of the main reasons I don’t go to church is out of worry that the blood of Christ and the bad air quality may damage my sperm.
