Kathy Shaidle is interviewed on the Al & Mike show this evening regarding the libel/defamation court action which names her, and others brought by Richard Warman.

Apologies to all concerned for the somewhat crappy audio, I was unaware that Shaidle was going to be interviewed tonight so the recording was a very rush job.

Thoughts that jump immediately to mind.

Kathy Shaidle talking about the hateful comments of others?

Just what is wrong with having to prove that statements you make are true Al? Shouldn’t the burden of proof be upon the person making the claim? Does personal responsibility play no role here?

Isn’t the “writing persona” bit cute?

    “Internet environmentalist”?

Just listened to the interview - now I get it, she is not really racists, or hateful, that is just her “writer’s persona”. ??????????

As my grandmother used to say “lord, love a duck”

If you play it backwards, you can hear the voice of Satan.

I’ve got to play that at double-speed. That’ll be hilarious.

    Interesting idea Ti-Guy.

And if you listen to it at regular speed, do you ears bleed?

Have you heard that Small Dead Animals is being dumped from the blogging tories? I heard that Taylor may be sued also.

    Hmmm,

SDA is still on the aggregator at this time, and her “readers tips” thread shows up at the BT website.

As I’ve said before, Shaidle may be a sweet, loving, open hearted woman who for some inexplicable reason chooses to blog exclusively and consistently through the fictitious persona of a hate-filled, supercilious Indian-loathing black-loathing Muslim-loathing bitch.

Or she may actually BE a hate-filled, supercilious Indian-loathing black-loathing Muslim-loathing bitch who hauls out the polemicist/satirist rationale when the other shoe drops.

Given that her blog has frequently contained quasi-autobiographical turds about her “conversion” from the curse of open-mindedness and the various epiphanies that have led her to bluntly celebrate and boast about her own capacity for hatred, I know which of those options I think most likely.

I won’t listen to the show. But I’m curious: how frequently did SHE ask for money?

So Five Feet of Spare Some Change™ isn’t actually a hate-filled, supercilious Indian-loathing black-loathing Muslim-loathing bitch, she just plays one on Teh Internetzzz … fascinating.

Whooee! A caricature of a caricature. Personal responsibility is the bigass issue. You wrote it, you own it. “Writer’s persona”? Is that like “My Phony Self”?

Shaidle’s role model is Anne Coulter. She’s said so. Coulter has been accused of being more outrageous than anyone can possibly be in order to sell copy, accused of using a fake persona to sell her writing. Wannabe Kathy is just pretending she’s as clever as her Merkin Idol.

I’m hopin’ she’ll see the light all of a sudden and get up on her hindlegs and tell us all how sorry she is fer bein’ such a hateful bigot and how she’s gonna spend the rest of her life tryin’ to reverse the damage she’s done.
