Ahem.

Let's see, given that this report came out in the Times of London, and London is five hours ahead of us, that puts them in... (counts fingers) April 1st.

Hmm...
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('132679','James Bow','Ahem.\r\n\r\nLet\'s see, given that this report came out in the Times of London, and London is five hours ahead of us, that puts them in...
Well, not necessarily proven, but this find, if it does indeed hold up, would certainly add a separate, independant, witness for confirmation, which is always a good thing when viewing historical accounts.

I would like to read about more geological research confirming such an asteroid strike in the region. The size posited in the article would have had a HUGE effect, and so much more evidence ought to be forthcoming (of course, a much smaller meteor shower--still of substantial sized material--could better match the Genesis account. We'll just have to see what shakes out).

So far, biblical accounts, as my old (now deceased) M.E. archeology prof was wont to say, have held up very well to archaeological evidence. Haven't subscribed to BAR for a number of years, now, but that had seemed to be the case as long as I followed the field at once-twice-thrice remove.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('132677','David','Well, not necessarily proven<\/i>, but this find, if it does indeed hold up, would certainly add a separate, independant, witness for confirmation, which is always a good thing when viewing historical accounts.\r\n\r\nI would like to read about more geological research confirming such an asteroid strike in the region.
