We Pay For This Ya Know
The CPoC is thumping its’ chest in the House and threatening to call elections over Liberals in the Senate stalling their crime bill
The Tories had pushed the vote after they claimed their crime bill was being held up in the Senate. While the Senate is an independent body, the Tory motion urging them to pass the crime bill would have been a confidence vote and could have led to an election.
– while the Liberals are thumping their chests and whining about Conservatives in the Senate stalling Bill C-292 (from the February 12 federal Hansard)
Mr. Todd Russell (Labrador, Lib.): Mr. Speaker, it has been almost a year since Parliament passed Bill C-292, An Act to implement the Kelowna Accord. Since then, the bill has been stalled in the Senate because the Conservative senators have used tactics of delay and diversion. They have done so in spite of the will of Parliament and in spite of their own election promise to honour the terms and objectives of the Kelowna accord.
It’s a wonder they manage to get anything done ain’t it?
- what a bunch of brats idiots hypocritical a$$holes children, and our tax dollars pay them to act like this.
