They’re Sluts I Tell You, Sluts !!

Wednesday, Liston, appearing at a GOP legislative caucus in Denver, said: “In my parents’ day and age, (unmarried teen parents) were sent away, they were shunned, they were called what they are. There was at least a sense of shame.

“There’s no sense of shame today,” Liston continued, according to the The Gazette of Colorado Springs. “Society condones it. … I think it’s wrong. They’re sluts. And I don’t mean just the women. I mean the men, too.”

Don’t we all pine for the days of homes for unwed mothers, public floggings, big red “A”s on aprons, treatment for insanity (at least in Pennsylvania), and, most importantly, shame?

Liston ultimately apologized for calling unwed mothers (and fathers) sluts, but only after being called on it.

But hey, sl (suspect initials there) — this is an advance (in some constituencies).

Liston is partly wrong: in his parents’ day and age, only the girl who got pregnant was sent away, shunned, called no better than she should be. See how women’s liberation and two generations of campaigning for equal rights have changed Liston’s world — he thinks both the girl and the boy are sluts! Let’s hear it for equalitarianamilism!

Liston had better hope that his daughter or granddaughters make no mistakes in life, lest he have to punch somebody for calling his offspring sluts.

Mind you, with his mindset, he might choose to beat his offspring instead.

    Racist gun bans

Starting almost at the beginning our country’s history, there has been an effort to disarm the black man and his family. It paid no mind to whether they were free or slave men. This is one of the most onerous secrets that pervades society ’til today …
