Prime Minister Stephen Harper may call a confidence vote as early as next week over prolonging Canada’s military mission in Afghanistan, according to two Canadian media reports, and defeat for his minority Conservative government would bring an early election.

The election ain’t gonna happen, I’d like to be proven wrong but I just don’t think that Dion has the balls to go to the wall with it - the rhetoric is all good, but when push comes to shove, well, it ain’t gonna happen.

The NDP and the BQ will, of course, have a field day with it. There will be much chest thumping and many cat calls in Question Period with Dion taking the brunt of the derision and complaint for being the weak and uninspiring Leader of the Opposition that this vote (should it come to pass) will once again show him to be…. so be it; maybe next time around the Liberals will select someone who sounds like s/he knows what they’re talking about.

Personally I hope that if the urge, or necessity, of statements of outrage appear that they are done in his first language and we are spared more head hurting second language outrage.
