Who Does He Fire This Time?

What’s this…. did someone in our government grow a pair?

Canada’s foreign ministry has put the United States and Israel on a watch list of countries where prisoners risk being tortured and also classifies some U.S. interrogation techniques as torture, according to a document obtained by Reuters on Thursday.

One can only imagine the cries of anti-American, Jew hating, terrorist loving, liberals, in Kanuckistan that are bound to follow.

The revelation is likely to embarrass the minority Conservative government, which is a staunch ally of both the United States and Israel. Both nations denied they allowed torture in their jails.

Good qualifier there, “in their jails“….. let me guess, Camp Gitmo is not a jail, right?

Look for many apologies for a horrible mistake, much kowtowing, more than likely at least one threat of “consequences“, and another firing in the very near future.

The US responds with

“The United States does not permit, tolerate, or condone torture under any circumstances,” said a spokeswoman for the U.S. embassy in Ottawa.

Dear United States of America spokeswoman:

The world has seen pictorial evidence that you do torture.

The world has heard the statements given by people you have tortured, the world has seen the statements from your own soldiers that they engaged in torture, and the world has watched you ever so lightly slap on the hands of those who have committed torture and murder in your name……. don’t take it too hard, but we just don’t f*cking believe you.

    Silly man.

If the US does it, it’s not torture.

    Right, lrC?

Whooee! Dontcha know nuthin’? It ain’t “torture”. It’s “enhanced interrogation techniques”.

Yer right as rain. Somebody’s head will roll.

    Proud to be Canadian today.

Keith Olbermann had a really good segment on this last night. He basically says “if CANADA does this, our closest neighbor and cultural ally, then we are in deep doo-doo”.

    Worthy of embedding here

BTW Throbbin, didn’t you hear Bush after 9/11? England is (or at least was) their closest ally, we weren’t worth mention.

Lets add to that via Dr Dawg

Top court strikes down refugee deal

OTTAWA - A Federal Court judge has formally struck down a controversial refugee agreement with the United States, saying Canada failed to ensure that the U.S. respects international rules governing torture and refugee rights.

The Canadian government is, of course, appealing — how much do you wanna bet that he would, if he could, fire judges.

Watch for the wave of indignation from our URQ brethren about communistic, leftofascist Lieberano-appointed judicial nazis subverting the will of the Canadian people, who, of course, are all for US torture.

Abu Grahib, Gitmo, whatever: none of the “evidence” of “torture” rose (or sank) to the level of frat hazing, let alone listening to politicians *spit*, Mass Media Podpeople or bloviating bloggers shriek about “torture”. Torture is what Islamics do when they mutilate little girls with their oh, so culturally wonderful clitoral “circumcision”. Torture is what Islamics do when they enslave, beat and kill folks who just don’t think their Butcher of Medina was such a great guy. Torture is what Islamics do when they hack off a guy’s head on camera and broadcast the glorious event for his loved ones to view.

Torture is not stacking splodydope wannabes up in a pyramid, making them wear dog collars or wear underwear on their heads; heck, it’s not even making the po’ widdle babies think they are drowning when they are not. That’s hazing at worst, and low level hazing at that, compared to moist frat hazing that’s not been clamped down on by nanystaters influenced by po’ widdle babies whining and crying about it.

Heck, NOT giving the Gitmo detainees their Korans, halal meals, etc., wouldn’t even be hazing, let alone torture. Nearly every damned (and I use the term as a simple theological assessment based on their embrace of a cult of hate, not as a curse) one of them are living at a higher standard of living as detainees than they could as splodydope wannabes in the Muslim world.

Torture? Pull the other one. Crying “torture” about the conditions these people are being held under is just more crybaby whining. Grow some balls.

Yeh, yeh, I know: Abu Ghraib . Old fingers, need newer brain cells, too. Still not afraid of a little light hazing. “Torture,” MHWA…

Pretty amazing that years later, folks still think that denial wins arguments.

Gimmeafuckin break, balballess. People get killed every year during college initiations too. Deal with it, Canadian wimps.

When facts contradict belief there are basic three options. Denial is the one usually chosen by the leadership, the followers can either follow and deny, or find themselves left with minimization or acceptance.

    David has made his choice.

Gimmeafuckin break, balballess. People get killed every year during college initiations too. Deal with it, Canadian wimps.

And America is so much better for that isn’t it?

Whoops, so sorry…you don’t WANT to be on the list? No problem….

  13. Throbbin on January 21st, 2008 at 1:12 pm

Yeah, this latest development is sad. NOT proud to be a Canadian today.

Day’s apologies are just rubbing it in too - “We are soooooo sorry for this embarassment. Truly, we are sooooooo sorry!”

  14. JimBobby on January 21st, 2008 at 2:44 pm

Whooee! Well, I reckon this whole mess can be put to bed real easy. Just get Maxime to submit to a good ol’ fashioned waterboardin’. After that, string him up an’ give him some electric shocks on his weddin’ tackle. Then, strip him down and menace him with a bigass police dog. Then keep him in shackles for 6 years and wheel him from cell to cell on a two-wheel dolly.

After that, he’ll be able to confirm a hunnert percent’s worth that he ain’t been tortured and he’ll be able to fire the dumbass who put the Merkans and’ Israelis on the list of torturin’ bastards.

I wonder who they’re gonna pin this one on. Wrongful dismissal comin’ up.
