Open Trackback & Comments Tuesday (The New Year “Gregarius” Edition)

One of the blogospheres great passings was Canconv, it left a void, verily it left a great void, in the Canadian blogosphere and a goodly number of us are still suffering withdrawl. Many came up with differing ways of dealing with that void, heck, I even heard that some Luddites went back to bookmarks }}}shudder{{{ - the bunkers solution is Gregarius.

It’s not yet 100% complete (who would have guessed that the only blogging alliance who seems to be able to put together a functioning RSS feed for their membership aggregator is the Progressive Bloggers) but we’re working on it and decided to start it and the New Year off together — and after I get those blogging alliances who can’t seem to come up with an RSS feed added over the next week Gregarius should contain a pretty fair slice of what’s happening in the Canadian political blogosphere on any given day.

Everything is pretty automagic, the system updates itself multiple times per day, is searchable, and hangs on to entries for a day or two - the group headings are collapsible and you can get involved and help others by tagging entries if the urge comes upon ya.

Once the content part is dealt with I’ll try and pretty it up a bit and the developers of Gregarius are discussing a multi-user system so who knows where it will end up.
