In Case You Needed Further Proof

Mike Huckabee might want to “revise and extend” the remarks of his Iowa campaign manager. Appearing on this evening’s Tucker on MSNBC, Bob Vander Plaats stated that “we’re fighting a radical religion in Islam” and that “the war on terror is a theological war.”

Apparently the good pastor’s Huckabee’s experience allows him to understand the “theological nature of this war”” and “a guy with the training of a pastor understands the theological nature of the war“.

Ah…. yeah, just what the world needs, another world leader with nukes and a big army who hears the voice of a higher father.

I personally hope Huckabee wins the Republican nomination.

Hillary, Obama, and Edwards (and, frankly, any of the Democratic candidates) would wipe the floor with Huckabee in any debate.

You obviously haven’t seen Huckabee debate. He can be very charasmatic and quick on his feet. Why do you think he’s been catching up to Rudy?

    Fail.

All that tells me is his campaign dude thinks that his theological training may help him understand the mind and motivations of the enemy. Whether or not that’s true is another matter. Noting about Huckabee makes me feel he’s the type that’s going to go nuke muslim commie for Jesus.

If your going to crap on the guy attack his record and his position on the issues, there’s plenty to work with there.

Attacking the man on his faith is just small-minded and demonstrates the attackers own prejudices.

And for the record I don’t want MH to win. I’m all about Rudy.

Sorry nastyboy, as soon as they start muttering about shite like that we’re building another holy war - do you really think that’s such a good idea? As far as I am concerned we haven’t evolved enough since the last one to even consider another round of slaughter in the name of this, that, or some other god.

Attacking the man on his faith is just small-minded and demonstrates the attackers own prejudices.

    No and yes.

I’m not attacking the man on his faith, I’m attacking his stupidity and the stupidity of those around him.

Yes, it does show my prejudices, I’m biased as hell against fundamentalist nutbars, and it don’t matter whether they be western pastors, or people like bin Laden, they’re dangerous enough without weapons - and we’ve already seen what happens when ya give ‘em armies.

Again I don’t see MH as a hard core fundy or Neo-con idealogue. Conservative of course. Christian of course. So what?

He actually got a lot of bills past while Arkansas govenor, working with a Democratic state senate. He’s proven himself a pragmatist. He doesn’t scare me.

Rudy (9/11) is the only Rep. with a (9/11) change of winning any blue states. That’s why I’m pulling for him. I could live with Obama. The rest of them can go shit in their hats.

Well according to this poll on ABC.com I actuall match closest with Huckabee on issues but not by much. I only match 5 of the 11 questions. Hillary is 2nd and Chris Dodd is 3rd. (Both with 4 out of 11).

It’s kind of a neat quiz. I predict alot of Kucinichs on this site.

I apparently match someone called Mike Gravel. Okay. With a name like that, I’ll bet he rocks.

    Whooee!

    1. Kucinich
    2. Gravel
    3. Paul

Since I hold duel citizenship, I’ll actually vote in the 2008 US election. I’m pretty sure I won’t get a chance to vote for any of my top three, though.

Hmm, I’m sensing a pattern developing. I knew you guys were a bunch of libertarians….

Well except for nastyboy, but that’s not surprising…this time of year his mind is on the donkey and the pineapple more than anything.

    lol

Unfortunately the Donkey and the Pineapple could never agree on what to name these holiest of days.

    Drama queens.
