Said in November 14th, 2007 @8:24 pm I’ve read about similar liberties being taken in Afghanistan during poppy eradication. It is to be hoped that this war will teach us that the Army needs a better watchdog on subcontractors to protect the people from abuse of power.

The real travesty is that these guys will get full immunity for what they did. No court martial, no civilian charges, not even a civil lawsuit. It’s no wonder the mercinary business is booming. Unlike the ordinary combat soldier, they can do whatever the hell they like.
