Twelve military equipment projects totalling $7.3 billion are considered “high risk,” have gone over budget and are at least two years behind schedule, according to a Defence Department review.
Taxpayers, however, will remain in the dark on exactly which programs have run into difficulty. The department has declined to release details. So far, $600 million has been spent on the programs in question.
Good thing our Nu Government is not like the old one ‘eh…. otherwise this would be a scandal and proof positive of ineptness, inefficiency, and just possibly cronyism, or something.


I think it’s important that we shed light on this news, but you really have to put things in perspective. If you compare Canada to other countries we are surprisingly light, and when you attribute the percentage of GDP to expenditures, Canada is a super lightweight.
