Back in May Bush said that if the United States were asked by the Iraqi government to leave that they would, and then he hastened to say that they wouldn’t ask that - now a group of US mercenaries security arm of the US government is being told they are not welcome to operate in Iraq anymore…. 3 guesses as to what happens next.
The Iraqi government said Monday that it had revoked the license of Blackwater USA, a private security company that provides protection for top American officials in Iraq, after shots fired from an American diplomatic convoy killed eight Iraqis.
A spokesman for the Iraqi Interior Ministry, Abdul-Karim Khalaf, said the authorities had canceled the company’s license and barred its operations across Iraq. He said the government would seek to prosecute those responsible for the deaths, although according to the rules that govern private contractors here, it did not appear that the Iraqis had the legal authority to do so.

Now we will get to see if Iraq is, as the Bush administration touts, a sovereign nation or not. I offered three guesses, but the reality is that I find it highly unlikely that the Bush administration will pull their hired guns out of the country.

It seems that security may not be what it’s cracked up to be in Baghdad now that
Bushs’ pet mercenariesBlackwater isn’t roaming the streets.Alleged killing of civilians?
I guess that 10 year old whose brains made a quick exit out of his head to be splattered on the pavement is only allegedly dead, his mother is probably only allegedly dead as well — do you suppose their family is still holding out any alleged hope? They probably held alleged funerals with alleged mourning so it could be used as propaganda against the Americans.
Bush says he’s saddened, I bet that’s a whole lot of consolation to the families - especially the one who got to scrape their sons brains up off the pavement
– and in case you’re wondering, it looks like Blackwater is still there, so the answer to the original question is that Iraq is not a sovereign nation.
