Maybe They Have No Line In The Sand
When you read about countries that are known to torture their prisoners, actively discourage dissent, and spy on their citizens, you have to wonder if there is any line in the sand that will result in the citizenry saying, “enough, no more, this is where it stops” – America apparently isn’t there yet.
Civil libertarians object say DOC rules are censorship
CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — Civil libertarians say proposed changes at the Department of Corrections to limit inmate interviews with the media amount to censorship.
They plan to air their concerns at a public hearing tomorrow.
Among the changes: officials could deny interview requests if they feel it’s not sensitive to crime victims.
They would bar interviews without of state inmates. They would also require a corrections official to be present when interviews are conducted.

I wonder what it will take?
