Hypocrisy Watch: The Budget

Didn’t the Conservative Opposition constantly bemoan the Liberals for this when they were in power?  The surplus would be much higher as well, if the Conservatives were not spending our money on sole sourced military equipment contracts like they just won the lottery.

We came to expect this from the Liberals.  It became almost amusing to guess how far off the surplus estimates would be.  Harper promised to be different.  He isn’t.  Our political system is a laughing stock of hypocrisy.

I thought that budgeting involved science (math) not art? I know here in AB our surplus is higher because of higher oil prices, but I can’t see that translating to the billions in Ottawa’s budget.

I just wanna know how come when I’m on a budget, I never end up with surpluses.

Of course they did, just as the Liberals will sit in the House and do the same thing when the fall political migration back to the halls of power is complete.

And when the Liberals ask questions of the CPoC that sound an awful lot like the ones the CPoC used to ask and sit their asses smuggly back in their seats, the CPoC will toss out answers that sound an awful lot loke the answers the Liberals used to give and sit their asses smuggly back in their seats – and the great political wheel will turn once again while the partisan masses shout from the hill tops that it’s not the same thing at all.

    – and still people wonder why I refuse to participate in the charade.
