What Is –
– an al Qaeda associated insurgent?
We know that there are multiple groups and forces lined up against the American occupation of Iraq, are they all al Qaeda associated insurgents as the White House and US Military would have us believe?
IMO, al Qaeda associated insurgents is a tidy, and oft used, little phrase that attempts to tie what is happening in Iraq to the events of September 11, 2001 in America – does any thinking person actually believe that?
The question, how many people believe that these groups are actually affiliated with al Qaeda in any sense other than the ‘we don’t want you here so get the f#@k out and quit occupying our land and killing our people’ type of association?
Well, that’s easy.
1) An “insurgent” is anyone who is either (a) resisting American military action in their country, or (b) dead as a result of American military action in their country
2) An “Al Qaeda associated insurgent” is…see (1).
