Oh, my. They're literally frothing at the mouth, aren't they? I've argued the immigrant question till I'm blue, and I seem to be a minority. First, I think the ones who are already here should have a way to register and work towards citizenship. In fact, they should be required to if they want to stay. Then they should be able to get drivers' licenses, get auto insurance, pay SS, pay income taxes. Common sense would dictate this would be cheaper than rounding them all up and deporting them, only to have them come back. That would be a logistical nightmare. However, if after a generous time in which to sign up, someone hasn't and gets caught, a few weeks of jail time and then deportation is in order. Of course, the government has NEVER been serious about really fixing illegal immigration. It provides a cheap source of labor for business. Another thing most people do not consider is what effect it would have on retail stores (like Wal Mart) if all 12 million or however many were suddenly deported. While folks like to complain about how the illegal immigrants just take and don't give back, that's not actually true. They do pay in the form of sales taxes. I know where I live, in Texas, there are a lot of businesses that would have to close their doors if all the illegal immigrants (from Mexico, particularly) were suddenly deported.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('120949','Cait'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('120949','Cait','Oh, my.
