Lame? Now?
There’s been a bunch of questions in the broadcast media about The Decider’s state of lame duckedness of late… is he lame, if he is lame, exactly how lame is he, and can he overcome his lameness state in time to save his legacy?
He’s been lame for a long time, why are people asking about it now?
US immigration policy – lame
US border security – lame
US military backing of Fatah – lame
US policy on Palestine – lame
US foreign relations – lame
US occupation of Iraq – lame
US surge in Iraq – lame
Approving torture of prisoners – lame
Katrina – lame
Environment policy – lame
Climate change – lame
Protecting the rights & privacy of US citizens – lame
Follow through on African poverty/aids funding commitments – lame
Uzbekistan – lame
Enabling the Iraq civil war, then picking sides – lame
US policy on Iran – lame
North Korean iPod sanctions – lame
I think the more reasonable question would be, what, if anything, has Bush accomplished that does not fall into the category of lame?
Like his policies, and his presidency, Bush’s legacy is ensured – lame.
