Star Wars Poll

The Toronto Star is running a poll asking the question

At 11:10EST this is what it looked like.

Our politicians are like any other, polls matter, go vote and let Ottawa know that we’re not interested in Bush’s new arms race.

Can we please stop refering to missle defence as “Star Wars”? It’s really more like “Missle Command”.

    I loved that game.

Who are those 33 percenters, anyway? Couldn’t we just declare them the margin of error? Since they so obviously are?

I for one welcome my bomb slinging overlords. World leaders have proven themselves competent to determine the outcome of wars and to launch bombs only when strictly needed. Improving their capacity to strike down cities in countries where terrorists choose to launch from, is a step forward for humanity. Think of the efficiency with which we can then overreact?

Oh geez, I thought this was a real Star Wars poll. My answer was going to be Empire Strikes Back. Dammit.

    33%…. 33%…. now where have I seen that number before…. 33%

Oh yeah, it was the percentage of the vote that the CPoC got during the last election wasn’t it?

Whooee! I missed this one yesterday but I see that the final tally was 31% to 68%. SL’s on the money. These are the selfsame one-third who are runnin’ Canada in this minority gummint. Nothin’ surprisin’ about the poll, sez I.

Most Canajuns don’t want ballstick missiles. Harper don’t give a rat’s ass what Canajuns want. What his lord an’ master wants is compliance with the Merkan will. He works fer GWB, not Canada.
