Why does it matter if the [now former] CEO of British Petroleum is (or is not) gay? Indeed what sort of society cares so much about this sort of thing that it’s somehow considered even remotely newsworthy?
Brown is (at least publicly) not making the noise that, IMO, he should be making about this sort of invasion of personal space and privacy.
