An Interesting Situation

One of the side benefits of joining the Open Trackback Alliance and participating in the Linkfest Haven is that you get a chance to see posts that might not other wise find their way onto your screen. Like this little gem that the Blue Star Chronicles sent to our regular Sunday open trackback and reader comments post.

Europe is turning Muslim says the Blue Star Chronicles, based not on violent conquest but on numbers alone, it’s going to be an interesting event to watch unfold isn’t it?

Once upon a time European Christians discovered there was a big land to the west, in the hopes of a better life they migrated to that big land in the west, they migrated in such numbers that they ultimately outnumbered the people living there at the time, and became the dominant culture.

As part of this massive migration these European Christians were able to impose their laws, their values, their traditions, and even their religion, upon the inhabitants of the big land to the west.

– and don’t the majority of Europeans, and people now living in the big land to the west, think that turned out ok?

I wonder what the author of the post thinks should be done in Europe? All we see is

If only they understood their only hope is to resist. If they submit they will certainly die.

How should Europe resist?

Should they base immigration laws on religion? …. Sorry mate, we got enough Muslims already this year, have you considered converting to Buddhism? How does “legislated religious discrimination” sit with everyone?

Should they round all them up, take their money and their property, and put them in concentration camps? Both Canada and the United States have gone down that road in the past – those days are not generally looked upon by our histories as “the good old days when we kept them ***** in pens like they deserve”.

Should they bring back lynchings and tar and feathering’s to discourage any more from coming? How about they just set up separate laws for Muslims so moving to Europe is not quite so attractive….. stuff like they can move in but they can’t hold high government office, own real property, or run for election – would that work? That’s been tried in various times and various places before hasn’t it, how does our history view that?

Calls to resist without saying how this resistance should be mounted are less than pointless, at least Chicken Little told people to run didn’t he?

At some point, if a sufficient number of Muslims move to Europe, set up homes, families, and businesses, send their kids to school, run candidates in elections, go to the polls, and vote for those candidates, Europe may well become Muslim region.

Isn’t that the way globalization has worked ever since 1492?
