Worse, Worser, and Worst

Bill (boycott them if they don’t agree with us) O’Reilly’s common sense left the building years ago, I gotta admit though, his latest comments make even Ann Coulters stupidity look tame.

Are ratings so low for these idiots that they need stuff like this to keep their shows?

Just…wow, that is some cold, unfeeling political opportunism. Disgusting.

“Bill O’Reilly has left the human race.”

That assumes he was ever in the human race. Questionable at best.

O’Reilly doesn’t make me grumpy anymore. I doubt that he is motived by a political agenda and he ceased to be a journalist ages ago. No, with Bill, it is all about his ego and the ratings. Pure and simple. It’s fun to watch egomaniacs implode, as they usually do, by their own mouth.

Couple of things: First. Bill O’Rielly’s ratings are several times the ratings of this chap on MSNBC, so Bill doesn’t have to be outrageous to get ratings.

(Highest rated MSNBC show: Countdown 677,000 viewers compared with 2.4 Million viewers for Fox’s O’Rielly)

Second, let’s actually see if we can find a youtube copy of Bill O’Rielly’s comments before we stone him, rather than some chap I’ve never heard of on a network nobody watches telling us what O’Rielly said and telling us to hate.

Source material SL, source material. Come on SL, put your back into it and get the original. It shouldn’t be too hard.

And TH: Bill is not a journalist by his own admission–he is a commentator, so attacking him for expressing his opinions on air is rather disingenous.

Yes, I said he is not a journalist. “Attacking him”?? That was hardly an attack, RJ. It more like a remark on what motivates his commentary which is fair game for someone who puts themselves in that seat.

The transcripts are all over the Internet RJ, here, here, here, and here, for starters.

Comrade Google is your friend in situations like this ;-)

Sorry TH, I re-read my comments and they were inaccurate. It did seem to me that you were trying to condemn him for no longer being a journalist and yet still hold him to some journalistic standard.

SL, I know about Google. I just wanted you to do the heavy lifting on this one rather than me. After all, you’re the one pushing the outrage on this.
