Perhaps a word — “hibaru.” In ancient Egyptian, it means both “slave” and “builder” or “stonemason.” I first came across it in one of Budge’s translations of hieroglyphs.
If that word was in use at the time the pyramids were being built, it doesn’t take much to equate “hibaru” with “Hebrew” and “Hebrew” with “Jew.”

That’s only half the story though.
According to Biblical tradition, the ancient nation of Israel (as opposed to the modern nation of Israel - a distinction that some don’t want to make or acknowledge today) was made up of 12 tribes.
Judah, from whence we get the term “Jew,” was only one tribe of the 12.
Indeed, what is now the Nation of Israel likely mostly consists of descendants of the tribe of Judah and tribe of Benjamin (I think it’s Benjamin, if memory serves correct).
The ancient nation of Israel split into two kingdoms: The Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah.
Today, it would be more correct, if one was basing naming conventions on historical tradition to call what is now called “Israel,” - Judah.
The term “Hebrew” was applied to ALL the peoples of the ancient nation of Israel, therefore Jews are no more or no less “Hebrews” than many others who are not Jews (descendants of Judah).
It is possible that before the peoples that formed the nation of Israel, that some of them were enslaved in Egypt - but it would not be only those of Judah that were enslaved - but members of all 12 tribes of Israel.

I assume the first item is an issue because of the proposed location at the Temple Mount and the symbolic return to a practice that has been banned there since 70AD during the first revolt of the province of Judaea against the Romans.
Ritual slaughter of animals whether Kosher or Halal is practiced daily throughout the world.
The second item doesn’t make sense historically as my understanding is that there were no Jews around during the great pyramid building days of the Egyptian empire.
What am I missing?
