Ya Can’t Even Trust Google Anymore

to herd or not to herd “How do I know anything on the planet that Google maps isn’t a lie?”

I Believe It

As unfortunate as it is, I do believe Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri when he says he was tortured into confessing to involvement in the attack on the USS Cole in 2000.

Could It Be –

– that senate Republicans are not putting up too big a fuss over a new bill calling for US troops to be scheduled out of Iraq within a year because they’re just plain sick and tired of doing the Presidents dirty work for him?

How Far They’ve Come

The Bush War on Terror finds a new way to infringe upon innocent lives.

Hypocrites or Bigots – We Report, You Decide

I caught an item on CNN this morning while getting ready for work about how Tony Blair was “outraged” over the idea that the British military folks held prisoner by Iran were being “paraded” on Iranian TV – does he not know that the BBC is available outside of Britain? [Updated: 12:42PM]

The Shmohawk Has Landed; Lock Up Your Preconceptions!

The blogosphere is filled with self-professed experts on media, journalism, culture and Aboriginal people. But if you want to engage with the Real Deal for a change, now there’s a place you can go.

Sorry, No Sympathy Here

CFRA was hyping this website today, personally I’ve got little sympathy for them – poor folks can’t afford to put gas in their big ‘ole SUV’s, I guess slapping 4-barrel on that big v-8 is out of the question eh?… tut-tut-tut

Where’s The Line?

There was a lot of talk today about whether or not there should be regulations created that would see non-smoking apartment buildings come into being – how much regulation are you willing to consider? Where is the line?

Art, Shading, and Borat

Tuesday nights art class presented me with a considerable challenge, we had to reproduce, to the best of our abilities, a picture that looked like it was “shaded in” as opposed to drawn. Few, if any, distinct lines, lots of different shades of black and gray all blending and bleeding into each other to form the shape and substance of a man smoking a pipe in a very dim place – I did not do well at all.

Talking Points For Conservatives, Emergency Rewrite

Last night’s stunning Liberal victory in Quebec marked yet another strategic triumph for our Beloved Leader, whose close association with and support for Jean Charest are credited with driving the Liberal majority into the stratosphere. (Whoops.)

Dear Blog-O-Sphere

Snap links are annoying, intrusive, and really offer nothing of interest. I don’t need to see a thumbnail of what a page will look like if I follow a link [.....]

More Bad PR On The Way

Too bad for The Decider that the world is just not willing to forget that a supposedly civilized western country condones torture ‘eh? Worse for the people of the United States that they’re so closely associated with him.

American Values

I recall posting a while back about the highest ranking office in the US military system to be prosecuted over the many and various American torture and abuse incidents – it was a lieutenant.

If It Wasn’t So Pathetic It Would Be Funny

I’ve decided that I’m going to add a new set of links in the side bar, I’m still debating what I gonna title it (how does “If it wasn’t pathetic it would be funny” sound?), but Cherniak on Politics is gonna be on it.
