I didn’t watch. If I thought he was gonna say anything important like, the American people are not satisfied with my performance, tonight I am announcing my intention to remove myself from office as president of the United States, I might have ditched my art class - but I knew that wasn’t likely. He still thinks he’s doing things right.

I did follow a bunch of summaries when I got home, and read the text. For those who haven’t done either, here’s the long and the short of it.

On the domestic front: We’re still addicted to oil, our social network still has the same problems it did 6 years ago when I took over, and I still haven’t managed to do anything about illegal immigration.

On the Iraqi front: Be patient.

Everything else was just filler and yada yada yada, nothing we haven’t heard time and time again from the man who has accomplished nothing more during his term of office than further divide an already divided country, and further divide an already divided world.

– pity us all that he doesn’t have the sense to do the right thing and quit.
