Ya just gotta give him points for being inventive. Bush says the American army ain’t leaving, but Americans ain’t happy with American soldiers getting killed in Iraq, so in the spirit of compromise he promised after the Democrats took both houses, we get this.
The armed forces, already struggling to meet recruiting goals, are considering expanding the number of noncitizens in the ranks — including disputed proposals to open recruiting stations overseas and putting more immigrants on a faster track to US citizenship if they volunteer
Everybody wins, foreign mercenariness mercenaries get hired to fight under the flag so the US Army is still technically there, troop numbers are technically bolstered, and foreign mercenariness mercenaries get killed instead of Americans.

You are really challenging my English in this article. First it is your spelling of the word “mercenaries” which confuses me. Second, it is how you use it.

Like your “Everybody wins” list. I would like to add that Republicans should do better than democrats as the future citizens from the US Army will be more likely to vote GOP.
