Coming to a fearful nation “The Great Awakening - Vol III” (or maybe it’s Vol V depending on who you believe).
President Bush said yesterday that he senses a “Third Awakening” of religious devotion in the United States that has coincided with the nation’s struggle with international terrorists, a war that he depicted as “a confrontation between good and evil.”
What’s this, international terror — “Third Awakening” — “good and evil.” — doesn’t that sound just a little bit, well, crusadish in nature?
Funny though - for a country that is supposed to be secular. If you are Christian, this awakening is a “Good Thing”. If you are a Muslim, then this awakening is a “Bad Thing”.
And SL, for the record, I am now trademarking those 2 terms.
