Which Myth Hasn’t Been Debunked?

Most of us were more than a little suspicious from day one regarding Bushs adventure in Iraq, and at this point most sensible people should be asking themselves if anything they said was true.

* Mobile chemical labs: nonexistant, myth debunked
* Airborne drones capable of reaching America: nonexistant, myth debunked
* Weapons of mass destruction: nonexistant, myth debunked
* Hussein/al Qaeda connection: nonexistant, myth debunked

What’s left?

SL, Saddam was a bad person – don’t tell me you didn’t think those OTHER reasons were the real reasons we were going in did you?

Now, because of the heroic efforts of the Uni……..oh crap. I can’t do this anymore. I like to mess around and give sarcastic responses that I think some Rightwingnuts might give, but Im pulling a blank here.

Well, Hussein’s Iraq MAY have been guilty of some of those things, and like they say, better safe than sorry.

What’s freaking me out (or, may it isn’t, which in itself is freaking me out) is that I have seen much coverage of this in the MSM. Been sick for a few days, lying in bed with the tv on, and I haven’t seen one tidbit on this on the major news channels. But I’m sure up to date on the shuttle Atlantis launch!

Sorry, that’s supposed to read “is that I haven’t seen much coverage”

    Global warming’s not an issue…
    Um.
The Free Market Fairy will let everyone who works hard enough have a reasonable standard of living…
    And…
    The Rapture is nigh…
    And, uh;
None of Cheney’s connection to Halliburton has had an effect the way the US is running things overseas…
    And…
    Oh yah…
Letting teh gays get married will destroy all of civilization as we know it. And also, people will marry their pets. Because their pets will suddenly and auto-magically become contract signing individuals.

    Or, hey; how about:
There are not serious voting irregularities happening in important swing states.

    There y’go, SL.

And yes – I think all those issues have been connected to the selling of Iraq in one way or another.

Shouldn’t you be launching the pre-emptive defeatist message on Iran instead of harping on on old news? Come on, be pro-active.

No other comments on the war in Iraq Peter?

  7. Zorpheous on September 12th, 2006 at 10:36 am

Hey Peter, maybe you can explain how the Iraq war has decreased terrorist attacks, and increase democracy in the Middle East. Next, for bonus points, explain how USA did an excellent job in Afghanistan,… remember document your work and give real life examples that are backup by fact.

    (evil grin)

Actually, they did find a few artillery shells buried in Iraq that had chemical agents in them.

They didn’t get widespread publicity because they were not operable weapons. Also IIRC they were made in America…

Yes they found a few old, non functioning, shells – although there was much crowing about this from the right bank of the main stream even the US government was forced to admit that they were not the weapons of mass destruction they had touted Iraq as possessing.
