This is how all Canadians should conduct themselves
The Muslim and Jewish communities in Newfoundland and Labrador announced an emergency partnership Thursday to raise money for victims of the violent conflict in the Middle East.
Money raised through the Jewish and Muslim Emergency Partnership will be donated to two sister organizations of the Red Cross - the Red Crescent and the Red Star of David.
People like this give me hope, as opposed to the divisive, racist, I’m afraid to walk the streets these days, crap being pushed by certain on-air personalities I’m hearing this morning.
The rightwing loonies are always screaming that Muslim leaders and communittees are speaking up. So why is I hear their voices denouncing the violence (on both sides) and the rightwing loonies don’t? There are leaders in Toronto that have been screaming that this is wrong, hezbollah is wrong and Israel is wrong, but for some reason they never seem to make the news on the radio or the tv, you have to hunt for these announcements.
I think we should start a catalog og these announcements so we can correct this preception. We should also point out the looines that endourse the violence as well.
