It’s a rare thing for the bunker to offer praise to a sitting government Minister, let alone a CPoC Minister, be that as it may we’re doing it tonight…. we sincerly hope this is a one in a row trend that continues, and that the government has the balls to stick to their position.

After reading this article at Drudge I fully expect to hear a raft of (Right)WingNuts latch onto something that was already relatively well known and run with the “see, this is nothing to worry about, the earth has been warmer in the past and we’re still here” line.

Iraqi police and relatives in the car say the woman was about to give birth, the US military says the woman “one of the females may have been pregnant” – regrettable indeed.

I like riding them both, as a matter of fact all bunker personnel are required to master multiple modes of transport, one never knows how, or under what circumstances, the revolution will be be waged. We are always ready.

May 30th 2006. This morning we tried to call other Mohawk territories and found our phone lines, land and cell, were dead. Aha! What do you think was happening?
Can’t have anything except the approved news getting out there now can we?

Are they as severely traumatized as the little 12 year old girl who survived because she pretended to be dead when the Marines shot her parents and grandparents?

Given what we know about the goings on in Iraq in general, Abu Ghraib, Fallujah, Camp Gitmo, and Haditha (to name a few) it’s really ironic to read that Hussein is on trial for crimes against humanity stemming from the arrests, torture and the execution of Iraq villagers and the destruction of their property… don’t ya think?

Just a week ago the Bedazzled Adherents of Beloved Leader (BABL) were genuflecting toward Parliament Hill and moaning hymns of praise to celebrate the Anointed One’s first hundred days.
This week, oddly, there’s a very different vibe in the air.

You can imagine my complete lack of surprise to read that “Investigators believe that their criminal investigation into the deaths of about two dozen Iraqi civilians points toward a conclusion that Marines committed unprovoked murders, a senior defense official said Friday.”

Harpers pre-election promises of armed ice breakers and a deep water port in the Canadian Arctic are looking pretty shaky, the armed ice breakers could well become hovercraft and (according to the Nunatsiaq News) the port itself “shows a lot of promise” but is, “….. unlikely to happen until the next election, and only if the Conservatives are re-elected.”
