It’s a rare thing for the bunker to offer praise to a sitting government Minister, let alone a CPoC Minister, be that as it may we’re doing it tonight…. we sincerly hope this is a one in a row trend that continues, and that the government has the balls to stick to their position.

Global Warming Spin
After reading this article at Drudge I fully expect to hear a raft of (Right)WingNuts latch onto something that was already relatively well known and run with the “see, this is nothing to worry about, the earth has been warmer in the past and we’re still here” line.
Regrettable
Iraqi police and relatives in the car say the woman was about to give birth, the US military says the woman “one of the females may have been pregnant” - regrettable indeed.
Horses & Bikes
I like riding them both, as a matter of fact all bunker personnel are required to master multiple modes of transport, one never knows how, or under what circumstances, the revolution will be be waged. We are always ready.
Caledonia Update
[Via email]
May 30th 2006. This morning we tried to call other Mohawk territories and found our phone lines, land and cell, were dead. Aha! What do you think was happening?
Can’t have anything except the approved news getting out there now can we?
We’re Shocked!!
Faux news? From the Bush Administration? About Iraq? Say it isn’t so!!
I Gotta Wonder
Are they as severely traumatized as the little 12 year old girl who survived because she pretended to be dead when the Marines shot her parents and grandparents?
Ironic Ain’t it?
Given what we know about the goings on in Iraq in general, Abu Ghraib, Fallujah, Camp Gitmo, and Haditha (to name a few) it’s really ironic to read that Hussein is on trial for crimes against humanity stemming from the arrests, torture and the execution of Iraq villagers and the destruction of their property… don’t ya think?
What “Problem” of Evil?
Pope Benedict XVI visited the site of the Auschwitz concentration camp today, and as part of his speecch asked God why he remained silent during the “unprecedented mass crimes” of the Holocaust. Why?
Canute of Sussex Drive
Just a week ago the Bedazzled Adherents of Beloved Leader (BABL) were genuflecting toward Parliament Hill and moaning hymns of praise to celebrate the Anointed One’s first hundred days.
This week, oddly, there’s a very different vibe in the air.
Con-Ucopia Vol. II
Once again, the Bunker Team piles into the Hovercraft and heads out into Tory Incognita, seeking to promote dialogue and understanding throughout the blogosphere by serving up a full course meal of cutting-edge conservative bloggery. Here’s this week’s helping of Blue Wisdom.
Pansies - Part II
You can imagine my complete lack of surprise to read that “Investigators believe that their criminal investigation into the deaths of about two dozen Iraqi civilians points toward a conclusion that Marines committed unprovoked murders, a senior defense official said Friday.”
More Of The Same
Harpers pre-election promises of armed ice breakers and a deep water port in the Canadian Arctic are looking pretty shaky, the armed ice breakers could well become hovercraft and (according to the Nunatsiaq News) the port itself “shows a lot of promise” but is, “….. unlikely to happen until the next election, and only if the Conservatives are re-elected.”
Capital In Lockdown
[via “The Eagle, 93.9″ (Right)WingNut talk radio] Shots heard in an area that houses a police firing range, government in lockdown.
Breaking news? ….. sheesh
The OpenPolitics libel case goes to trial October, 2008. Please support the defendants in this important lawsuit which threatens to make authors and publishers responsible for collaborative content and the political comments of others. You can read about it over at OpenPolitics.ca. Yes, it is one of the Crookes cases.

Make the Cheque out to the association, but mark the cheque as being for the Legal Defence Fund as related to the Crookes vs Holloway et al. case, this is the case Mark is in. Money sent here will get you a tax receipt but does not indicate support of the party or its' platform, or help fund the OpenPolitics case.
