– to avoid free webspace services if at all possible, bcause censorship is alive and well inside their halls.
Here in the bunker we’re lucky, we have the where with all to maintain our own webspace and we get to decide what goes into it - unfortunately others are not so lucky, like the folks who use MSN Spaces who had their materal taken down because it was “too risqué”.
It sounds like a pretty subjective description to me, too risqué….. maybe Rupert Murdoch, News Corp, and all those who seem pleased with this turn of events, could explain just exactly what “too risqué” means. Is it too much leg? A hint of a nipple? A call to protest? And who, on behalf of internet users, gets to decide that?

I wish the news articles would be more specific about what was considered to be “too risque.” Has any of them talked to a teenager, lately? Or listened to a group of them? The word “risque” is so-o-o-o out-of-date… The level of knowledge of the modern youth would absolutely flatten any conservative adult!
On the other hand, the site owner gets to set the rules. When you buy your space, you set your own rules. But when you get free use of someone else’s space, they get to tell you what’s what.
