American Officials?
Reasonable Canadians would think that we should hear about Canadian international commitments from our own officials as opposed to foreign ones….. don’t ‘cha think?

Balbulican asked me to lay out some reasons why I support Canadian military intervention in Iraq in support of the US-led mission of building a free, democratic Iraq. While Balb and I often “cross swords†as he puts it, I don’t think that even he is expecting this topic to go in the direction it will.
Once again America has looked north and [supposedly] found an Islamic terrorist boogie man — hell, according to a report just out they [supposedly] found whole friggen hives of terrorist cells up here as a [supposed] result of our “liberal” immigration system.
Since Day One, the US has sought both moral validation and military support from Canada and the international community for its invasion and occupation of Iraq – sometimes bullying, sometimes threatening, sometimes pleading. For instance, he wanted to use the thread on “What Warning Signals To Look For As the Conservatives Prepare Us For Iraq” for a discussion [...]
It’s good to know that the Toronto Sun editorial board is on top of things [...]
I rarely find myself in total agreement with Charles Adler. Today marks an exception. He rather eloquently describes the current Harper government’s communications strategy of scorn for and attempt to control the media and the pitfalls that lay ahead if they continue on present course.
