– move along, move along.
Less than a month into office, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is planning his third meeting with Quebec Premier Jean Charest as part of a strategy that points to the converging political agendas of both leaders.
Mr. Harper needs Quebec in his quest to win a majority government, and Mr. Charest needs the Conservatives to keep their election promises to his province to have any hopes of winning a second mandate.
Once upon a time, in a far off land (well actually it was this land, just west of the Ontario border as a matter of fact, but that line sounds good and I’ve wanted to use it for a while now), and prior to the last election, there are those who would have called this pandering for Quebec votes - and it would have been a bad thing wouldn’t it?

The CPC will be ripped apart as Harper panders for Quebec’s votes and ignores the West. Just watch. Either that or Albertans will start to praise Quebeckers and then I will run for the hills Red Dawn style.
