Nothing To See Here
And They Didn’t Lie
Back on the 11th of January we posted about [then CPoC Finance Critic] Monte Solberg stating that the Kelowna agreement would not be honoured by a CPoC government - all good Conservatives can now applaud and put a little check mark in their “promise kept” column.
“Our Strongest Weapon”
Our strongest weapon against the terrorist threat is our freedom. The more we give in to heavy handed government infringement on our basic rights the more the terrorists can claim victory against us without so much as an attack on our soil. It is, after all, our way of life that they loathe.
Another Invitation
The CPoC has once again issued, what is for all intents and purposes, an invitation to the US to reopen ICBM program talks. Although they can, and no doubt will, use the “we haven’t asked them” spin O’Conners statements on Question Period can hardly be viewed as anything but a very public invitation.
All Others, Do Not Apply
The Domino’s Pizza guy is gonna build a town, and all other laws be damned, Catholic principles will rule if he has his way…. it will be “the city of God” in a country in the throes of “catastrophic cultural collapse”.
Just stepping outside and may be gone for some time
You may notice an absence of me for the next few days. I’m heading West on a business trip, one of those work-all-day-write-it-up-all-night ones, and will be out of touch. I expect to return safely. If, however, you don’t hear anything from me by next Saturday, it may mean that Ezra Levant and those other ones found out I was in their territory, and - gulp - took steps.
The World Needs More Of This
Looks like the Sex Pistols ain’t going. Invited to play at the R&R Hall of Fame during their induction they replied […..]
Sectarian Violence Continues
More shocking sectarian violence as different factions of the “Religion of Peace” clash in the streets.
Darn
My audio embedding utility doesn’t like the comments section, this is what I tried to say in the “Great Things Out Of Texas so that folks didn’t think I listened to country music or enything nasty like that.
How History Is Unmade
The story of a mysterious submarine off the New Jersey coast, nicknamed the “U-Who” by divers, is an interesting illustration of how History can sometimes get it completely wrong.
Great Things Out Of Texas
The bunker has been known, on occassion, to cast disparaging remarks in the direction of Texas. In the interest of presenting a [fair and] balanced offering the bunker is happy to say that there are good things that come out of the great state, a prime example is […]
The Perfect Out?
The US is downplaying the possibility of a civil war in Iraq but I can’t help but wonder if there aren’t a few people in the White House with operation “We’re wiping our hands of the whole affair” already in hand.
Coming Soon: A Ghost Town Near you
Anyone who has done the cross country trek by car, train or bus will be able to relate to the sheer size of the province of Ontario. From Toronto for example, it is at least a twenty hour drive across the north and west of the province before you even reach the Manitoba border.
Turin’s Tory Tragedy
In the wake of the catastrophic performance by Canada’s men’s hockey team, there have been a number of calls for the immediate resignation of Stephen Harper. While I understand the emotions, I think those calls may be premature.
Who Controls The Past….
It’s part of a well known line from Orwells 1984, in full it reads
The OpenPolitics libel case goes to trial October, 2008. Please support the defendants in this important lawsuit which threatens to make authors and publishers responsible for collaborative content and the political comments of others. You can read about it over at OpenPolitics.ca. Yes, it is one of the Crookes cases.

Make the Cheque out to the association, but mark the cheque as being for the Legal Defence Fund as related to the Crookes vs Holloway et al. case, this is the case Mark is in. Money sent here will get you a tax receipt but does not indicate support of the party or its' platform, or help fund the OpenPolitics case.
