- a few intersting things, including:
(1) A reopened SSM debate
(2) A reopened ICBM BMDS debate
(3) A government (if they’re elected) that believes it absolutely must have the right to over rule the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
(4) Increased personal income taxes
(5) Reduced consumption taxes in case you happen to have enough cash to buy taxable goods
… and, as of this morning,
(6) Capital gains tax breaks if you’re wealthy enough to have capital gains.
Your Liberal vote gets you more of the “same-old-same-old”, and all the crap that that entails.
Your NDP vote gets you a pretty darned big government.
Sure makes voting attractive doesn’t it?
Stand up for Canadians: On January 23rd vote independent or spoil your ballot.

Regarding (4), personal income tax rates are the same as they were last year until legislation is passed to change the rates. Legislation to reduce rates was introduced but not passed. I am unaware of any legislation or proposals to increase tax rates.
