I caught a Stephen Harper sound bite on the CBC last night that amounts, IMO, to an explicit invitation to the Bush administration to reopen ICBM Ballistic Missile Defense talks - the gist of it being that a CPoC government would not make any move on this program unless the Americans asked for negotiations to be reopened….
Made on national television this is not the idle ‘what if’ speculation the CPoC will bill it as, it is an invitation.
No matter what you think of this program, it was really embarrassing how Paul Martin handled it. There should have at least been a vote in the house.
