It seems frequent commentor here at the Basement Bunker(tm), Candace, has embarked on a mission to find the “meaning” behind our esteemed colleague “Balbulican’s” nickname. She has done an incredible amount of work on the subject. Candace even went so far as to post a picture with Stageleft’s mug (mistakenly assumed to be Balb) on flowers in what appears to be a reference to some kind of botanical origin for the name. Heh, that brought me no end of amusement. Good luck Candace, but without clarification from He, Himself, the legend of the blogger Balbulican only grows.

I always thought a balbulican was some sort of species of monkey. No idea why I thought that - just seems like a monkeyish sort of word :)
